OPERATION VITTLES
ENGLISH TOFFEE PUDDING

ENGLISH TOFFEE PUDDING
as found in the book “OPERATION VITTLES COOKBOOK”

2 cups powdered sugar
1 teaspoon cocoa powder
1/2 cup butter
2 egg yolks
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup nuts (chopped & toasted)
2 egg whites (stiffly beaten)
1/2 box vanilla wafers (rolled to crumbs)

DIRECTIONS

  1. Sift sugar and cocoa together
  2. Mix with butter.
  3. Add egg yolks and vanilla.
  4. Beat well.
  5. Add Nuts.
  6. Fold in egg whites.
  7. Line loaf pan with wax-paper.
  8. Sprinkle half crumbs on bottom.
  9. Pour in mixture.
  10. Top with crumbs.
  11. Put in refrigerator several hours or over-night.
